Henry (September 21, 2010)
For me, I see this Supertramp album as one of their best. These songs have some really good kicks to them, and I really don't know why it did so bad commercially. The first song It's Alright has to be the best on the album. I love it's piano solo and it is just irresistibly catchy.
Not the Moment has got a very classic pop sound to it and John Helliwell is the best. It doesn't matter is a song that could have used some improvement, but it's one that grows on you. I don't think the song Where I Stand should have been on this album. It's an OK song, but Mark Hart isn't that good. Free as a bird is definitely a classic song. It's got great instruments, sound and solos. If you have bad thought's on this album, listen to this song. I'm Beggin' You is one of their best, You never can tell with Friends has some nice kicks to it. You like it a lot after a couple of listens. Thing for You is a good way to start finishing the album. But this eight minute finale, An Awful thing to Waste, is a classic. It starts out great, has a really creative sound, and the guitar solo at the end will just kill you! Above all, you might like this album, but you may not. It depends on what sound you like. I have to say though, that all of these song's lyrics could have used some definite improvement. But this album contains great sound, a great album cover, and great musicians. Give it a listen, because it's worth your time. If you know this album you can review it. |
