The Buggles was formed in 1979 in England by vocalist and bassist Trevor Horn and keyboardist Geoff Downes. Their first single, "Video Killed the Radio Star," hit number one in the U.K. in late 1979; when MTV went on the air in 1981, the prophetically-titled record's video was the first ever broadcast on the fledgling cable network. The Buggles also had another British hits "The Plastic Age," "Clean Clean" and "Elstree". The members: Geoffrey Downes, Trevor Horn, John Sinclair, Simon Darlow. The second album, which was recorded after Horn's and Downes' working on Yes' Drama, was not less interesting. In all the Buggles recorded two albums plus some songs, which was included as bonus tracks on reissues.
