I have a possible interpretation to 22 Years. John Curulewski was born in 1950. 1950 + 22= 1972. Since he found the person he was searching for, it could mean that he was married in 1972, and had Jamie, his son, in 1974. This info is found on the back of the Man of Miracles album. It says, "Welcome, Jamie!!!" One of the reasons he quit Styx, a year later, was to spend time with his family. That would have made Jamie one year old. Good enough reason!
