Freddie (December 2, 2004)
Queen's first live album and not a bad album. First of all this was not recorded at one concert it was done from variouse tours in 1979, this is 1 of 2 downfalls of the album the other being the sound quality could be a bit better, a good album but really for Queen fans and collectors, the best way to listen to Queen live ( or any other band for that matter ) is to see it on DVD.
STUART RICHARDSON (July 5, 2004)
IF ANYONE IS JUST STARTING THEIR QUEEN MUSIC COLLECTION THIS ALBUM WOULD BE A GOOD PLACE TO START. THE ALBUM CAPTURES THE BANDS ENERGY AND CONFIRMS FREDDIES POSTION AS THE ULTIMATE FRONTMAN. THE LIVE CONCERT IS FANTASTIC FROM START TO FINISH AND THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT THE CONCERT IS NOT AVAILABLE ON DVD/VIDEO.
I FIRST BOUGHT LIVE KILLERS ON DOUBLE VINYL WHEN I WAS JUST 7 AND USED TO PLAY IT NIGHT AFTER NIGHT ON MY FATHERS OLD RECORD PLAYER, WHEN I SAW IT ON DOUBLE CD I BOUGHT IT STRAIGHT AWAY AND IT BROUGHT BACK ALL THE GOOD MEMORIES. IT'S A CLASSIC! |
