	In a discussion of rock music's greatest guitarists, George Harrison's name is usually not one of the first names mentioned (although he in fact was one of the greatest), primarily because the immortal power-riff was just not his style. Think about it...even with the Beatles, the greatest guitar moments usually belonged to others: Day Tripper (John Lennon), I Feel Fine (Lennon again), Ticket to Ride (Paul)...even with George's own songs, the sizzling guitar solo in Taxman was Paul and of course in While My Guitar Gently Weeps it was Eric Clapton getting the glory. What George was with his guitar work was the ultimate self-effacing enhancer of songs. This trend continues throughout his solo career, when one would perhaps have expected George to step forward a little more. To him, the song was ever the star. In fact, one could argue that this song, "What is Life" gives George Harrison his only legitimate power riff. But even in this song, the guitar kick-start quickly gives way to the horns which orchestrate most of the song's remainder.	Bruce Beatlefan	April 19, 2006
