	The Beach Boys' first single. Brian Wilson, who had never surfed in his life, asked Mike Love's help to write a song based on brother Dennis Wilson's assertion that surfing had a strong cult following and would make a good subject for a song. Thus begins the early Beach Boys' sound which was to change rock and roll music. Although "Surfin'" was a local hit, the song is actually worthy of little more than a cringe. It's pretty bad.
