In case you're wondering about the singing, Graeme Edge, who really didn't have much of a singing voice (in spite of his excellent speaking voice), is hardly heard at all in this track. His voice is audible in the middle part: ("I've reached the top OF MY WALL, but all I found is another WAY TO FALL"). The rest of the song features Justin, Ray, John, and Michael trading leads and singing in glorious unison. Even in this discontented song about the fading away of love, you never hear anger or bitterness from the Moodies, just sorrow, acceptance, and a hope for a better or redeemed future. "After You Came" is a rocking Moodies track, and particularly in the end the group gets together for one of their hardest jams on record.
