That Would Be Something

Average song rating Not much of a song as well. In fact it's just two parts (1: That would be something. That really would be something. That would be something. 2: Meet you in the falling rain). Still Paul manages to make the song 2.37 minutes. Bass is simple but effective. The Western-style guitar is nice in the beginning, but drags on and on. The sudden coming of the rhythm (a little cymbal and that suitcase thing again) on 0.48 is nice. I like it when it's coming when you least expect it. After 1.15 the song is in fact over. Not much more than a demo of a song that would never be. Nevertheless, Paul dusted it off for his unplugged cd in 1991. Bobber April 6, 2012

Average song rating When it's just-Paul-goofin'-around it's a fun couple of minutes, particularly his vocally-rendered percussions (which makes him sound like a regular fan like myself making guitar/drum sounds while listening to a song). His decision to include this song for his Unplugged performance (no vocal percussion that time) caused me to scratch my head. Bruce Beatlefan February 2, 2006

Lyrics

That would be something
really would be something
that would be something
to meet you in the fallin' rain momma
to meet you in the fallin' rain

Meet you in the fallin' rain
meet you in the fallin' rain
