Average song rating This is kinda cool. We've gotten used to Paul reprising a song within an album in order to reinforce some overriding theme; here he roughens up the previous album's "Tug of War" (kicking it off with a terrific percussion) to reinforce the contrast of the war and peace themes (no, he is not trying to be Tolstoy). Folks who disdain Paul McCartney will doubtlessly roll their eyes at this new trick, but it works okay for me. Bruce Beatlefan June 17, 2006

Lyrics

(It's a tug of war)
No, no, your troubles cease
When you learn to play the pipes of peace.
(It's a tug of war)
No, no, your troubles cease
When you learn to play the pipes of peace.
What with one thing and another it's a tug of war.
(No, no, no, no)

It's a tug of war, wo, wo.
No, no, your troubles cease
You learn to play the pipes of peace.
(It's a tug of war, wo, wo)
Learn to play the pipes of peace.

Pushing, pushing,
Pulling, pulling,
Pushing, pulling.

Whoa!

(Hey! New ending!)
