	Although Paul was not one to bare his soul in his music the way John Lennon did, you can certainly sense the temperature of his marriage with Linda through his music. In McCartney and Ram you sense the joy of the newly-wed. In McCartney II and Tug of War you can sense a lot of tension and conflict. Phase three, a period of mature rekindled fondness seems to begin with this song and continue in Flowers in the Dirt. (A new phase begins with Driving Rain, but that is a unhappy story for a different place.) "Tough on a Tightrope" is a welcome return to the harmony and commitment which made their marriage admirable. It has a pleasing melody and above-par lyrics.	Bruce Beatlefan	December 28, 2006
