Listening to "Rough Ride" gives me a faint scent of Prince's style, which causes me to compare this song with McCartney's other "Prince-styled" song, "Dark Room" from McCartney II. "Rough Ride" is a far, far better song with marvelous production and tougher delivery. The recurring, echoey guitar riff serves as a punchy base to build this song upon.
