	Pete Townshend modestly refers to "I Can See For Miles" as the ultimate Who song, and who am I to argue? It thunders and roars, and allegedly this is the song which inspired Paul McCartney to come up with his own version in the song "Helter Skelter". Interesting how Townshend adds here and rearranges there, throughout the song, to make this a little more than your basic verse-and-chorus song--The Who's songs become increasingly interesting in that respect (check out "Sunrise", later in this album). One more thing...I wonder if the Monkees' song "Words" (written by Boyce/Hart) was intended to copy this song, as there are some striking similarities in the sound and arrangement.
